veggie garden

The veggie garden is in full swing now. At the farm stand, I sold the first of the new potatoes, onions, rosemary, thyme, mixed boquets, cut hydrangeas and packs of seeds. The bush beans are almost ready, as well as beets, squash, tomatos, peppers, lavender, zinneas, dahlias, radishes, and sunflowers. This morning I picked lavender and gompherena and hung up to dry in the kitchen. I picked basil and parsley to make pesto. Heres my secret pesto receipe...

Pesto:

3 cps basil leaves

1 cp flat parsley leaves

6to8 cloves pealed garlic

3/4 cp olive oil

1/3 cp walnuts

1/2 cp grated parm cheese

*put all ingred except oil and cheese into a food processor and process. Add oil through feed tube to make a paste, pour into a bowl and add cheese.Yummy.
